Roy McDonald

Founder and Managing Director.

2014 marked the 30th anniversary of Roy entering the transport industry.

He has extensive experience in bus service planning and network development, including service design and procurement, innovative services, school transport services and special needs transport.

He has been heavily involved in bus development work, including Quality Bus Corridor development and implementation projects, guided busyways, and bus rapid transit, traffic management, traffic regulation orders, pedestrianisation schemes, and infrastructure design.

Roy is an accessibility planner with skills in strategy development, stakeholder engagement, solution identification, implementation and monitoring.

Roy is a specialist in transport for special events, including service planning, stakeholder liaison and operational control. In 2012, Roy was responsible for arranging the Games Family Transport for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.

He has considerable experience liaising with elected representatives, members of parliament and local authority officers, managing and executing public consultation programmes, public and media relations.

Roy is particularly interested in Smarter Choices and Travel Behaviour Change, including innovative public transport marketing, information and personalised travel plans.

Roy can also offer experience of strategic planning issues relating to policy development, regeneration programmes and major planning applications and experience of project, staff and budget management and business development activities, including preparation of bids, presentations for potential work and stakeholder development.
